Volunteer Opportunities

What do you want to do today?

Opportunities abound for teenagers through seniors looking for fun, unique and interesting volunteer positions. Whether you have a few days, a few weeks to donate, or are looking for a one-time volunteer commitment, the Great Plains Zoo Volunteer Program may have the position for you!Group of Volunteers

The Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History has a variety of volunteer opportunities that are interesting and fulfilling. Some volunteer positions interact with the Zoo visitors while others may work behind-the-scenes. Whatever the job, each and everyone is valued and performs a service for the Zoo that cannot be measured in dollars and cents.

Volunteer commitment has allowed our Zoo to improve guest experiences by expanding programs, generating community involvement and support, and assist Zoo staff in daily Zoo operations.

For more information on our Volunteer Program contact our Volunteer Coordinator by email at volunteers-at-gpzoo.org, by phone (605) 367-7003, or download and return the Volunteer Application.
