*Because the zoo remains open year round, some animals may be off display, and some exhibits may be closed due to weather.

Beginning Aug. 16, the gift shop is open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. through Sept. 26. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 21, and Sept. 4-6.
Maasai Market:

The Maasai Market Cafe is open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. through Aug. 29. It will then be open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 26.
The Market is open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 and Sept. 4-6.
Savannah Train Ride:
Cost: $1 per person
Train runs weather permitting.

The Savannah Express is open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. from Aug. 16 to Sept. 3. After Labor Day, the train ride will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays only through September 26.
The train will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 and Sept. 4-6.
Carrousel Ride:
Cost: $1 per person
Winter Hours: The Carrousel may operate during school holidays and weekends. Operation is weather and attendance dependent – please call ahead at 605-367-7003.
The Sanford Carrousel is open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. from Aug. 16 to Sept. 3. After Labor Day, the carrousel will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays only through September 26.
The carrousel will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 and Sept. 4-6.
The Farm Store, located in the Hy-Vee Face-to-Face Farm is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Aug. 16- Sept. 10. Beginning Sept. 11 and continuing through Sept. 26, it will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

PRE-REGISTERED GROUPS
Group Registration
We strongly encourage all groups (schools, seniors, businesses, etc.) that are coming to the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum to call ahead to let us know the date, arrival time and size of your group. This information will help us when scheduling staff and volunteers for those busy visitor days throughout the year. Please call ahead at (605) 367-8313, ext 10.
Educational Programs
If you would like to schedule an education program during your group visit, please contact our Education Department at (605) 367-8313, ext 15. If you are calling the Education Department after “regular operating hours,” please leave your full name and your complete phone number so a staff person can contact you for complete details of your visit.
*To qualify for group rates, we require a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance with 20 or more guests. Regular admission rates apply to groups smaller than 20 guests.
