Volunteer

The Great Plains Zoo invites you to become a part of its volunteer program! Volunteers are a vital part of the Zoo, and it has a variety of volunteer opportunities that appeal to a wide range of people:

Greeting our visitors as they enter the museum.
Being a biofact tour guide, a Zoo docent, or an education program assistant.
Handling the Zoo’s education animals like the Ball Python or Striped Skunk.
Helping with special events like ZooBoo, Breakfast with Santa, and Critter De Mayo.
Office assistance with mailings or data entry.

To get involved in the Zoo’s Volunteer Program you must be at least 16 years old. (Individuals age 12-15 may volunteer with a parent or legal guardian.)
