Field Trips & Group Admission

A trip to the Butterfly House & Aquarium (BHA) offers students a chance to learn about the world around them in a living classroom. Field trips in 2026 will be self-guided, led by teachers and chaperones. Due to this change and the capacity of our facility, groups will be limited to 30 kids (with their adults) in the building at one time.

If your group has more than 30 kids, you will need to split up your group and plan additional activities in Sertoma Park or elsewhere. You are responsible for rotating your groups through the facility within your scheduled visit time.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are booking multiple visits for the same location that will each be paying on arrival, please book each visit separately.

Field trip reservations are for 1-hour.

Pricing

• Schools, daycares, and colleges qualify for our field trip rate of $8.50 per person (plus tax) for everyone ages 2 and up, including teachers and chaperones paid for by the school.
  • All field trips must be booked in advance and require one payment to qualify for the school rate.
• Regular admission price of $15 will apply to any chaperones paying individually.

Memberships are for family visits and cannot be used for Field Trips.

We are grateful for the generosity of the Floyd family in supporting field trip visits to the Butterfly House & Aquarium. Due to the passing of Joe Floyd, we are no longer able to provide free field trip visits for students.
